ob Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Preschool Director to oversee the daily operations of our preschool program. The Preschool Director will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for children, managing staff, implementing curriculum, and ensuring compliance with all licensing regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
-Must have NYS Teacher certificate in Early Childhood Education
-Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role in a preschool or early childhood education setting
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with state licensing regulations for preschool programs
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the preschool program
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise teaching staff
- Provide ongoing support and professional development opportunities for staff
- Collaborate with teachers to develop age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans
- Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations and maintain accurate records
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, including implementing health and safety protocols
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Manage the preschool budget and handle financial responsibilities
- Foster positive relationships with families, staff, and the community
