Payroll Manager

Description We are in search of a Payroll Manager to join our team in Providence, Rhode Island. This role focuses on the critical function of managing payroll processes in adherence to local tax laws and ensuring accurate allocation of funds across various systems. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity and is ideally suited for individuals proficient in ADP Workforce Now, Data Processing, Benefit Functions, and Compliance.Responsibilities: Oversee the process of payroll in accordance with local tax laws. Verify data across multiple systems to ensure accurate fund allocation and reconciliation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage monthly and quarterly processes, including the generation of W-2, 1099, and other regulatory forms. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of global processes to enhance efficiency and reduce payroll operation errors. Manage tax requirements for each location. Conduct continuous reviews of all taxes and coordinate with finance & accounting. Complete registrations for all necessary locations. Maintain payment schedules for all taxes not directly processed by ADP. Establish tax configuration standards for the HR Shared Services team, ensuring accurate application of all Federal, State, and local tax requirements. Requirements Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or similar role in a finance department. Proficiency in payroll software, preferably with ADP Workforce Now. Strong knowledge of data processing and management principles. Familiarity with benefit functions and their role in payroll management. Well-versed in compliance and regulatory guidelines related to payroll and employee benefits. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks. Strong knowledge of tax procedures and payroll tax laws. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
