Job Overview:
Vi-Tel, Inc. is seeking experienced CCTV Technicians to join our team for traveling work. As a CCTV Technician, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex telecommunications systems, equipment, and networks.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications systems and equipment
Troubleshoot and diagnose complete issues with network equipment, cabling, and wiring.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Provide training and guidance to junior technicians
Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment inventory, and customer interactions
Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and project management
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year experience in field installation of CCTV, Alarms, Fire, & Access Control
Current/Valid State required Physical Security License and/or Life Safety License
Available to travel extensively for long periods of time
Experience reading and following blueprints and site maps
Equipment installs and testing
Excellent communication skills and customer relations skills; verbal and written
Must have the following: Basic telecommunication tools, PPE, and reliable transportation
Computer, laptop, smartphone proficiency
Highly proficient with the use of spreadsheets and email
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; No DWI or DUI in the past 7 year's.
Pass required drug screening
Pass required background check
Responsibilities
Perform new installs and provide technical support both on-site as well as remotely via phone
Install, troubleshoot, and repair cabling systems and CCTV equipment
Run low voltage cable in commercial buildings, including but not limited to drilling concrete walls and completing conduit work, where needed
Be able to cut in door strikes and maglocks, when needed
Complete all wiring, connections, and equipment installations ensuring that CCTV systems are complete with total customer satisfaction and contractual requirements
Assist and collaborate with the Installation Team Lead and/or Project Manager regarding on-site work schedules and timely delivery of equipment
Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed systems and component devices are operational
Troubleshoot new system installations to ensure the proper functioning
