Bachelor’s in Accounting or equivalent required. Masters of Tax/Accounting/CPA strongly preferred.

7+ years tax experience in a public accounting firm or corporate tax department with 3-5 years tax controversy specific experience strongly preferred

Substantial experience with multi-state income tax controversy matters. Knowledge of State indirect taxes

Experience interacting effectively and efficiently with external tax advisors and ability to collaborate across business partners

Experience with PeopleSoft or equivalent G/L system strongly preferred

Strong analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Solid Excel working knowledge

Must be self-sufficient, a team player, and work well in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment

What you'll do:

Manage Federal and State/Local income tax audits and inquiries by governmental authorities. Work directly with outside tax advisors on technical issues. Maintain knowledge of tax legislation and tax changes as it relates to ongoing audits and tax planning related to audits

Serve as the primary liaison between the company and taxing authorities on controversy work, timely communication of significant examination developments to ensure proper company compliance

Conduct research of tax laws, regulations and case law to resolve audited related tax issues and support return positions

Identify opportunities to improve and/or automate tax processes to improve efficiencies and controls

Assist with identifying and executing tax planning related to tax savings and tax audits

Develop and execute periodic reporting for senior management review

As needed, support the State and Local Indirect Tax function, including compliance, audits/controversies, personal property tax and similar tax types. Coordination of indirect tax calendar due dates with team members to ensure timely completion of filings

  • Are you looking to use your supply chain and program leadership skills in an industry that supports and protects explorers and heroes? We could use your expertise on our team! As a Supplier Program Manager I, you\'ll be responsible for total supplier performance and supplier management strategy, total materials budget, and all subcontracts, agreements and orders on given major programs or portions of programs, as well establishing comprehensive material business plans and forecasts. You\'ll ensure timely and accurate completion of all cost, schedule, technical, legal and contractual efforts defined in the agreements between each supplier and SNC and/or its subsidiaries. Partnering with the Program Office, Engineering, Operations and Business Management in developing/establishing a program material budget & schedule and then execute within that plan. Within constructs of the execution plan, guide a team in managing and facilitating all relevant supplier’s program execution, as well as identifying, mitigating and resolving risks/issues to ensure all work products meet cost, schedule and technical requirements. Leading a team in analyzing critical cost, technical and schedule aspects of supplier proposals, paying special attention to price and any exceptions to terms, the Statement of Work (SOW), the Technical Specifications or any other key requirements: then establish negotiation targets, including major subcontracts and procured material for portions of programs.
