New Product Sourcing Leader

This highly visible role will have the opportunity to transform both current and new supplier relationships. The key to success in this role is balancing category strategy, project execution and cross-functional alignment to meet business needs.We are looking for top talent in the Minneapolis, MN area to work in a hybrid model. This will allow you to be closely connected with our products made in Minnesota, around the United States and across the globe with a flexibility of schedule that Works!WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

Lead and partner in strategic projects focused on new product development aligning with the global and local category teams to select suppliers and leverage existing supplier relationships.

Source parts for new product launches, complete the RFQ process for new products/parts. Lead material availability for proto/pilot/ramp/launch of products.

Conduct material cost analysis, establish benchmarks, develop “should cost” models and ensure the best total cost of ownership. Drive NPI initial cost management, track costs, negotiate pricing agreements and call out cost challenges as appropriate.

Coordinate and resolve issues regarding existing and new projects.

Lead multiple projects through all phases from concept to launch with time limited ongoing support.

Establish communication plans for project partners serving as the principle sourcing driver of product launches.

Ensure material availability during the transfer of products between manufacturing sites or during insourcing initiatives. Support resolution of supplier related issues during project phases. Resolve Supplier/Material Risk levels and drive mitigation actions.

Document and develop sourcing productivity opportunities for implementation by sourcing and value engineering teams following product launch.

Develop and deliver project level status updates and project dashboards teaming with sourcing analysts and cross functional teams.

YOU HAVE:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or related field

3+ years direct material purchasing/supply chain experience supporting a manufacturing environment

A practical and applied understanding of sourcing methodologies and sourcing project management

Experience in supplier contract management

Successful application of negotiation skills and techniques

Demonstrated excellence in analytical, fact-based problem solving

Experience communicating complex and detailed information to multiple individuals and audiences with differing knowledge levels

Excellent presentation, time management, organizational and social skills

Ability to build effective work relationships, both internal and external, and establish credibility with business partners. This includes the ability to address difference of opinions and use the most appropriate method to reach an effective solution

Ability to adapt to constantly evolving business circumstances and environment
