DescriptionCome join the Amazon Fulfillment Team (AFT) and work with smart people and make major contribution to enhancing our fulfillment experience to millions of customers worldwide. We are looking to hire in our US offices where we continuously innovate and built fulfillment critical tools for AFT Inbound processes. The systems we built are fast, nimble and flexible. It covers a wide range of business and technology areas including storage optimization and workflow management.A successful candidate for this role will have an established background in developing customer-facing experiences, strong technical ability, excellent project management skills, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast paced environment. The candidate must have the ability to collaborate closely on system requirements with our customers, writing specifications, driving project schedules from design to release, and managing the production launch.Key job responsibilitiesA successful candidate must be able to:

Leading highly talented technology teams responsible for building and owning complex services from India.

Lead the effective and efficient delivery of the large, complex projects

Develop and maintain a culture of innovation and operational efficiency in the team.

Influence, collaborate and communicate effectively with various leaders in Amazon.

Hiring, growing and retaining a strong team keeping with the Amazon high bar.

Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.

Maximize resources for the greater good of the organization.

Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels.

Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities.

3+ years of engineering team management experience

7+ years of engineering experience

5+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of engineering team management experience

Experience partnering with product and program management teams

The base pay for this position ranges from $148,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287,700/year in our highest geographic market.
