GCI\'s Network Maintenance Technician II is responsible for maintaining and repairing system wide oversight and quality control of network signal processing. Troubleshoots and repairs problems with transmission levels, and/or equipment failures to included: network analysis, headend and outside plant maintenance and integrity, technical leadership of outside plant maintenance, personnel, and all relevant. The primary customer is “the public” who has purchased and is using company products and services who are considering upgrading/expanding products and services. As well as considering purchasing and/or using GCI facilities’ products; immediate customer is Technology Solutions, other departmental personnel and/or outside agencies, vendors, utilities, etc.

GCI\'s SMC Technician I will monitor and support critical network elements to maintain the continuous operation of the company’s network and system infrastructure. Provide on-shift surveillance, management, advanced-level troubleshooting response, and trouble resolution of the company’s Wireless Radio Access Network (RAN) equipment and Core Transport Network in order to provide the highest level of network availability, restoring service.
