CATERING COORDINATOR

Responsible for coordinating catering events (in-house and contracted) within MetraPark. Will develop menus and catering packages, coordinate meal delivery, manage event schedules and food preparation timelines, set up equipment to serve food and preserve its temperature, shop for ingredients, cook food, supervise temporary personnel, and control costs on all the above.

Examples of Duties:

- Maintains high sanitation and hygiene expectations which meet or exceed standards and regulations.

- Meets with clients to discuss specifications and guest dietary requirements and plan event menus.

- Obtains or reviews contracts and adheres to specified terms.

- Sources ingredients for planned menus ahead of time.

- Prepares and serves food at events.

- Trains, schedules, and evaluates temporary, part-time staff in the catering operation.

- Sources and transports servers to and from events.

- Transports food and equipment to and from events.

- Ensures food remains fresh and is served at the correct temperature.

- Inspects and assists with event planning and set up.

- Assists with any issues that arise during the event and helps with clean up.

- Handles managerial aspects of the business, such as contracts and invoices.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Associates Degree in culinary arts, restaurant management, business administration, or closely related field; and

- A minimum of one (1) year experience in catering, food service and supervision; or

- Any combination of education and experience totaling three (3) years.

- Possession of a valid Montana Driver's License.

- Certified in Serve Safe Food Handling Practices.

  • The City of Billings is seeking a Treatment Court Coordinator to support and manage the Billings Adult Misdemeanor Treatment Court\'s (BAMTC) grants and cases. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Manages grant reporting each quarter for the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA) grants. - Completes required SAMHSA Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) reporting. - Receive and research referrals for potential participants to refer to appropriate court. Start a screening folder for the appropriate BAMTC track. - Maintain and update recidivism quarterly. Report to the team on rates during team meetings. - Hand out, track, and supply bus passes, incentives, and gift cards for participants. - Track and notify the probation officer when revocations need to be filed. - Train for court procedures to assist as necessary. - Complies and assists the treatment court team to comply with all confidentiality requirements, including 42 C.F.R. and HIPAA. - Maintains the confidentiality of all treatment court team proceedings. - Assists in creating and maintaining a data collection system to monitor client compliance, identify trends and provide a basis for client evaluation. - Participates fully as treatment court team member. - Participates in operational meetings. - Updates the team on recidivism rates, grant information, and alerts the team when jurisdiction is running out on participants. - Participates in regular cross training with professionals trained in cultural competency, addiction, alcoholism, and pharmacology and applies knowledge to suggest appropriate responses. - Provides training to new or replacement coordinators and other team members. - Travels to Grant Required and Treatment Court Training. Required Qualifications and Skills: - Two-year degree in criminal justice, human services, psychology, social work or a related program. - Two (2) years of related work experience. - Must have the ability to operator personal computers and a must be proficient with Microsoft Office, or equivalent. - Must have the ability to multi-task. - Must have strong writing, editing, organizational and interpersonal skills. - Must be able to pass a Federal and State criminal background check. Preferred Qualifications and Skills: - Judicial or Treatment background. Salary Range: $21.7984 - $25.2386 per hour. Salary reflects Step 2 and Step 5 of a 7-step pay scale. Salary at hiring will be dependent upon the applicant\'s education, experience, and training. Work Schedule: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 32 hours per week. The Administrative Coordinator performs a combination of complex office administration, secretarial, bookkeeping, and public relations assignments. These functions will include payroll, records management, auditing of billing, ordering and maintaining supplies, and general support functions.
