Job Details Program Director Responsibilities: Complete an evaluation of the current departmental resources required and available to support the training program proposed to ensure full compliance with ACGME requirements Develop rotations to support the accreditation of the Program utilizing all resources as needed to ensure compliance Prepare the full ACGME residency application for submission to the DIO/Chairman of GME and the ACGME enabling accreditation Prepare all supporting goals/objectives, policies and any additional documents required for accreditation Select faculty and supervising program personnel as they relate to the residents Prepare for and participate in all site visits, inquires and responses posed by the ACGME Evaluate all needs of the program to ensure or maintain compliance with the ACGME requirements Appoint the required committees and faculty mentors to fulfill the needs of the program and maintain accreditation Prepare the full curriculum to support the fully accredited ACGME Hospital program as required by the specific RRC Participate and be responsible for the recruitment of trainees into the accredited program Supervision and training of House Staff Coordination of program In service exams GME administrative duties Attendance at mandatory meetings Program Director Education Requirements: MD or DO Must include specialty expertise and at least three years of documented educational and/or administrative experience Must include current board certification in the specialty for which they are the program director by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM), or specialty qualifications that are acceptable to the Review Committee The Review Committee only accepts current certification in internal medicine from the ABIM or AOBIM (Core) Must include ongoing clinical activity Must have experience working as part of an interdisciplinary, inter- professional team to create an educational environment that promotes high-quality care, patient safety, and resident well-being Salary Range USD $300,000.00 - USD $330,000.00 /Yr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
