Summary About the Position: This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. This position will be filled on a PERM basis. Responsibilities As a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist, you will: Perform supervisory duties including performance standards, appraising work of employees, hearing employee grievances, and ensuring employees receive proper training. Interview candidates for subordinate positions; recommends hiring, promotion, or reassignments. Establish strategic and operations objectives. Establish project plans to meet organizational IT objectives. Plan and coordinate customer support service implementations that enhance the existing level of service or meet growth demands. Participate in technical innovation and modernization projects to improve command mission effectiveness. Develop agile IT project milestones and goals. Manage development of information technology hardware and software requirements. Plan computing operations to support production environment. Oversee message traffic and ITSM IT service requests, incidents, and problems. Basic Requirement: To qualify, applicants must possess Information Technology (IT) related experience demonstrating each of the following four competencies: (1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. (4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: solving complex or sensitive problems by developing and proposing strategic alternatives; identifying possible conflicts and shared benefits; helping team anticipate problems and identifying and evaluating potential sources of information; providing feedback and coaching to others to help solve problems; engaging appropriate stakeholders when developing solutions in order to understand and incorporate multiple perspectives and needs; evaluating the effectiveness of decisions and adjusting future decisions as appropriate. AND Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
