JOB DUTIES: Play a key managerial role in the execution and delivery of multiple large/medium projects. Efficiently execute and successfully deliver high-quality projects, having complete control over all technology and technological processes for the projects. Create technology plans and solutions to mitigate problems/issues before reaching Clients. Lead a team of highly educated professionals, delegate tasks to subordinate engineers/team members, review their work to ensure best practices and high standard of work product. Ensure technology and designs can be implemented across projects on a wider scale, increasing the Companys overall profitability and adherence to best technological practices. Develop teams/staff to achieve maximum efficiency including interviewing potential engineers, implementing performance reviews and continuing training on new technologies/best practices within the field. Complete performance technical assessments and subsequent personnel actions such as hiring, firing and promotions. Influence large teams across multiple projects to achieve Companys wide goals related to efficiency and client satisfaction. Coordinate multiple engineering sub-teams (QA, Development, Automation) to achieve a seamless incorporation of the various technologies for a successful project. Develop and execute multi-year technology roadmaps for projects. Achieve technical economies of scale across teams. Research changes in the technology field, staying up to date on new technologies that would benefit the Companys product and implement these technologies across the Companys projects. Evaluate latest technologies for application in business domains. Establish architectural designs based on product needs. Research and analyze confidential new hardware prototypes and software utilized by the Client. Manage the validation, research, and integration of new Clients technologies to multiple Company products. Create, implement and maintain best practices for engineering teams and studios in which products are executed. Recommend new strategic code sharing opportunities to better the Companys technological knowledge base. Identify core technology that needs replacing, updating or re-factoring. Ensure design is extendable across multiple projects. Conduct technical design reviews. Audit projects to ensure best practices are followed. Supervise risk analysis at a product level to ensure the best work is rolled out to the Client. Act as the main Company-client liaison regarding assigned projects. Handle all direct Client communications regarding technology aspects of projects. Report teams timelines and milestones to the Client to keep them updated on their products. Provide solutions to issues communicated by the Client. Gather information from the Client at the onset of the project to better be able to meet their specific needs and wants for their project. NOTE: Work is based at a client\'s site in Sunnyvale, CA. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering or U.S. equivalent and (2) years in the job or as Technical Leader-Android Mobile Developer Senior, Sr. Engineer-Android/Mobile Apps or closely related occupation within the IT/software development industry responsible for leading development teams. Alternatively, employer will accept an Associate Degree in the above stated discipline(s) or US equivalent and 3 years/experience in the above stated occupation(s) within the industry. Experience must include designing/developing advanced applications/solutions for the Android platform, defining architecture and product, applying unit-testing code for robustness, fixing bugs and improving application performance.
