Essential Functions:
Responsible for assisting nursing personnel in giving quality care to patients in the operating room. Performs duties and responsibilities of a scrub person under the direction of a registered professional nurse. Assists in obtaining supplies, equipment and opening of operating and other rooms, as necessary. Breaks down setup and prepares instruments for sterilization. Helps transfer patients to the recovery room and cleans and restocks the operating room.
Responsible for assisting doctors/nursing staff in ensuring that the basic needs of each patient are met. Daily tasks might include things like feeding and cleaning the patient or monitoring vital signs and health.
Evaluates patients and establishes an individualized plan of care. Determines patients\' functional goals and establish time-oriented, measurable goals and documents accurately in EMR. Recommend appropriate discharge Destination. Engages family and caregiver in education regarding the plan of care and discharge planning.

The position is responsible for the operation of various type of CNC Machines and manual equipment in compliance with inch and metric drawing specifications. Responsible for the proper use and maintenance of all measuring tools and devices used in inspection of all components. Works under general supervision. Although the location of the position is in Newton, NJ, from time to time it may be required to undertake duties at other Thorlabs locations.
